Kristine Jan Cruz Espinoza (Educational Psychology, Leadership, Higher Education) co-authored a book chapter on "Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) as Critical Sites for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA&NHPI) Students in Higher Education" with Mike Hoa Nguyen from New York University; Demeturie Toso-Lafaele Gogue and Rikka J. Venturanza from UCLA; and Becket C. Duncan and Dong M. Dinh from the University of Denver in a forthcoming edited book entitled Institutional Diversity in American Postsecondary Education (Information Age Publishing).
The edited book is a collection of chapters featuring various higher education institutional types, seeking to expand and further the Carnegie Classification system typology and beyond the private sector rankings. Other chapters focus on American Ivy League Universities, Research Universities, Land-Grant Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and other Native Serving Institutions, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, U.S. Women's Colleges and Universities, Religiously Associated Institutions, and Military and Maritime Colleges and Universities, among others.
