Kimberly Case-Nichols (Medicine) was published in the November-December issue of the trade publication of the Pacific Coast Association of Physical Plant Administrators. She manages office space for almost 1,000 employees at UNLV Medicine. Her article, “Experiencing a Space Department Start Up” is a way to share what she has learned with other space management professionals. Case-Nichols currently is overseeing a clinic consolidation plan that will reduce lease costs by $700,000 a year. The plan includes four faculty department moves, six clinic moves, and transplanting 300 staff members with little to no downtime in patient care or productivity.
