Kim Nehls (Educational Psychology & Higher Education) is the recipient of the 2018 ASHE Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented at the recent conference of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) in Tampa, Florida, in recognition of exceptional commitment and significant contribution to the success of the association. ASHE is a scholarly society with more than 2,000 members dedicated to higher education as a field of study as well as diversity in its programs and membership. The association promotes collaboration through research, conferences, and publications. Nehls, who also is a UNLV alum, began serving as executive director of ASHE in 2008.
