Kenneth Miller (Political Science) and co-author Brandice Canes-Wrone of Princeton University were featured in the Washington Post Magazine article "America's Hidden Crisis of Power and Place." The article by David Fontana describes how the political elite in both parties are disproportionately connected to a few neighborhoods in a few metropolitan areas that are distant and different from the places they are supposed to understand and govern. As part of the article, the author highlights Miller and Canes-Wrone's recent work that finds that members of Congress are more likely to vote in line with the preferences of the national donor class than with the preferences of the voters in their district.
