Kelly Tseng, an associate professor in the School of Life Sciences with a secondary appointment at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, has been awarded one of the 2023 Rosalind Franklin Society Awards in Science from the Rosalind Franklin Society. These prestigious annual awards were started in 2021 to recognize outstanding contributions in science from women and minorities.
Tseng is a leader in the area of pathology and lab medicine whose work around bioelectrical regulation of tissue regeneration has been featured in the New York Times and is also part of the foundational research in the field currently taught in textbooks. Tseng received her B.S. in biology from MIT and her Ph.D. in genetics from Harvard University.
