Kavita Batra (Medicine), Ravi Batra, and Manoj Sharma (both Public Health) published a study "Burden of disease scenarios by state in the USA, 2022–50: a forecasting analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021" in the Lancet journal. Through a critical examination of the effects of obesity, population aging, mental health issues, and disparities across locations, age groups, and sexes, this study shows the intricate relationships among these risk factors and their impacts on population health outcomes and performance at both the national and state levels.
