Kathryn Houk (School of Medicine Library) has earned the Level 2 Consumer Health Information Specialization from the Medical Library Association. The credential demonstrates a commitment to offering quality consumer health information services and to staying current with developments in consumer health information resources, technologies, and services. The specialization was created in 2001 with the support of the National Library of Medicine and is conducted in partnership with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. Houk is the Health Literacy & Community Engagement Librarian in the UNLV School of Medicine Library.
