Kathryn Houk (Libraries) has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the community engagement subcommittee in the Network of the National Library of Medicine for the region comprising Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Hawaii and U.S. territories. The committee is a part of the executive committee for the region and members will collaborate on regional, multi-regional, and national initiatives that empower public libraries and community-based organizations to support or advance health equity through access to actionable health information.
