Accreditation: Karla Irwin

Karla Irwin was recently certified as a digital archives specialist by the Society of American Archivists. Irwin, Special Collections and Archives librarian, earned the DAS certificate after completing a two-year program of coursework and passing comprehensive examinations this spring. A total of 325 people have earned digital archives specialist certificates since the program began in 2011. Founded in 1936, the Society of American Archivists is North America’s oldest and largest national archival professional association.
