Karen Callahan (Environmental and Occupational Health) co-published an article titled, "Lung cancer in never smokers: Distinct population-based patterns by age, sex, and race/ethnicity," in the journal Lung Cancer.
In this study, researchers examined the patterns of lung cancer among people who never smoked, an understudied but sizable group. The objective was to analyze rates and trends of lung cancer among never smokers by sex, age group, and race and ethnicity based on all-inclusive truly population-based sources.
