Jungnam Kim (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) published the manuscript “How the culture in school counseling programs shapes college-going outcomes: Do the effects vary by race?” in the Professional School Counseling Journal. She worked alongside colleagues to examine how the culture in school counseling programs or departments shapes the college-related outcomes across racially/ethnically different student groups. This study highlights the complexity of student needs across race and the need for school counselors to intentionally design their college and career readiness/access for students from racially and ethnically different backgrounds.
