Josh Baker and Cori More (both Educational & Clinical Studies) are heading a project and recently received a personal preparation in special education grant in the amount of more than $1.1 million from the office of special education programs. Baker and More are director and co-director, respectively, of the project, which addresses the shortage of licensed teachers in the areas of autism spectrum disorders (ADS) and intellectual disability (ID) by providing a one-year, fast track dual-licensure path in ASD and ID. The grant will cover tuition, books, professional organization membership, and small travel stipends for 50 teachers during a five-year period.
