The Southern Nevada Dental Society bestowed awards to UNLV School of Dental Medicine faculty members as part of its Gala and Awards Night in October. Dr. Jon Roxarzade earned the “SDM Faculty Member Award” for going above and beyond in teaching to shape the minds of future dentists and foster their growth, and Dr. Tina Brandon Abbatangelo earned the “Community Outreach” award for her commitment to community service and acts of kindness with patients and peers. Dental school faculty members and students nominated 21 respective candidates for the awards prior to the ceremony.
