John Starkey (Business) taught a section of BUS 103 - First Year Seminar: Business Connections during the fall semester that raised more than $5,000 for charity. Additionally, each student did several hours of community service for a variety of organizations. The non-profit organizations that benefited from the time and money donated by the students include Pawtastic Friends, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, Help of Southern Nevada/Shannon West Homeless Youth Shelter, and Dress for Success Southern Nevada.
