John Curry (History) participated in a joint roundtable and panel presentation on "Diversifying and Decolonizing the World History Survey: Case Studies from the K-16 Classroom" on June 23 and 24 at the World History Association conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His Saturday presentation following the roundtable was titled, "The Missing Link in the Early Modern Islamic Empires: Understanding the Safavid Dynasty of Persia." The conference represents a mix between K-12 teachers and college educators throughout the United States and internationally.
