Jennifer Pharr (Environmental & Occupational Health), Lung-Chang Chien (Epidemiology & Biostatistics), Max Gakh (Environmental & Occupational Health), Jason Flatt and Krystal Kittle (both Social & Behavioral Health), and Emylia Terry (Environmental & Occupational Health) published an article on "Serial Mediation Analysis of the Association of Familiarity with Transgender Sports Bans and Suicidality among Sexual and Gender Minority Adults in the United States" in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
The purpose of this study was to determine if familiarity with transgender sports bans was associated with suicidality among sexual and gender minority (SGM) adults and determine if interpersonal stigma and/or individual stigma mediated this association.
Kittle is a postdoctoral research scholar and Terry is a doctoral student.
