Jason Flatt (Social and Behavioral Health) co-authored "Synthesizing Best Practices to Promote Health Equity for Older Adults Through Community-Engaged Research" in the journal, Research in Gerontological Nursing. This review article highlights how community-engaged research can help to promote health equity among older adults, including an overview of community-engaged research, benefits, fundamental principles, and research exemplars from the authors' own community-engaged research with older adults in rural settings, LGBTQIA+ older adults in urban settings, and African American churches.
