Jason Flatt (Social and Behavioral Health) published with colleagues, "'Going Back in the Closet”: Addressing Discrimination Against Sexual and Gender Minority Residents in Long-Term Services and Supports by Providing Culturally Responsive Care," in the Journal of Aging & Social Policy. We explored how LGBTQ+ or sexual and gender minority older adults face discrimination in long-term services and supports. Guide by the socioecological model, we explore how training for long-term care staff can be responsive to care need and how anti-discrimination policies can improve care.
