Jason Flatt (Environmental and Occupational Health) recently was awarded a 2020 National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sexual & Gender Minority (SGM) Early Stage Investigator Award for his research contributions to improving the health of sexual and gender minorities or individuals who identify as LGBTQI+. His NIH-funded research examines the risk of Alzheimer’s disease among LGBTQI+ older adults. As part of this award, he will be presenting on his research during the 2020 SGM Research Symposium and the five-year anniversary celebration of the creation of the NIH‘a sexual and gender minority research office Sept. 17.
