Howard R. D. Gordon, Xue Xing, and Sara Shaw (all Teaching and Learning) authored an article in Workforce Education Forum titled "Analysis of Subject Matter Topics Presented at Career and Technical Education Research and Professional Development Conferences: 2009-2016." Subject matter topics that were highly researched included research methodology, assessment/evaluation, instructional technology, CTE teacher education, academic integration, and agricultural mechanics/engineering. Subject matter topics that were least researched were literacy, cultural competence/diversity, youth organizations, workplace standards, special needs, and policy/legislation.
