Hamid Reza Nikkhah (Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology) published a research article in the Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), a leading journal in the field of Information Systems and listed in the Financial Times FT50. In this multi-method study, Nikkhah, along with a professor from the University of Arkansas, investigated how companies should respond to data breaches and effectively communicate with their stakeholders. Their findings suggest that companies with limited budgets can adopt more affordable response strategies tailored to the specifics of their breaches. Additionally, they found that customers and investors interpret the same data breach differently, underscoring the need for differentiated communication strategies.
