Gregory A. Borchard (Journalism and Media Studies) is the editor of the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Journalism, which was released by SAGE Publishing in March. According to the publisher's description, the encyclopedia covers all significant dimensions of journalism, such as print, broadcast, and Internet journalism; U.S. and international perspectives; and history, technology, legal issues and court cases, ownership, and economics. It consists of more than 500 signed entries from scholars, experts, and journalists, including a dozen UNLV faculty members.
Borchard also has edited the journal Journalism History and authored A Narrative History of the American Press and Abraham Lincoln and Horace Greeley.
