Francis A. Cucinotta (both Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences) and Premkumar B. Saganti published an article titled, "Residual radiation risk disparities across sex and race or ethnic groups for lifetime never-smokers on lunar missions," in the journal Life Science in Space Research. Research, for the first time, predicts radiation risks for lifetime never-smokers detailing variations with sex and race or ethnic groups. Applications of the model to predictions for missions returning to the Earth's moon are described.
