Eve Hanan (Law) presented a draft of her article, "Remorse Bias," at the Rocky Mountain Junior Scholars Forum at Brigham Young University. The article, which has been accepted for publication in the Missouri Law Review, addresses the potential effects of implicit racial bias in judicial assessments of defendant remorse during sentencing hearings.
