Erica Marti (Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction) is among 25 graduate students across the country selected to conduct research in Australia as part of the East Asia and Pacific Summer Institute (EAPSI). For eight weeks this summer, she is doing research at Curtin University in Perth, Australia, involving potable water reuse and an emerging water disinfection byproduct. EAPSI is a National Science Foundation program. Participants are chosen through a competitive process based on a submitted research proposal. At UNLV she studies with professor Jacimaria Batista.
