Emily C. Strickler (Medicine, '22 Public Health alumna) was nominated by the UNLV School of Public Health's Delta Theta chapter of the Delta Omega Honor Society to present her thesis research at the 2022 Delta Omega poster session at the American Public Health Association (APHA) annual meeting. Strickler was one of 29 students invited to present from chapter nominations from programs and schools of public health across the country. Her research titled, "The Association between Neighborhood Social Media Use and Social Cohesion, Sense of Community and Perceived Safety among Adults in Clark County, Nevada," focuses on how our social media use can impact social health factors. At the conference, Strickler was given an award and a small cash prize from Delta Omega leadership.
