Dr. Neamat Hassan and Dr. Tanya Al-Talib (both Dental), and alumnae Dr. Audrey Morris and Dr. Patricia Grabowski (both Class of 2021) co-authored “Retrospective Analysis of the Correlation between TMD, Headache and Bruxism,” which published in the April issue of Open Journal of Stomatology. The study aimed to evaluate the association between bruxism, headaches, and temporomandibular disorder (TMD), and concluded that, within the limitations of the present study, caucasians and females presented with more TMJ clicking than the other study subjects. Young adults, in particular, experienced more pain on opening or chewing.
