Doris Morgan Rueda (History) published the article “Riding the Juvenile Crime Wave: Juvenile Delinquency, Race, and Gender in Postwar San Diego” in Journal of San Diego History. This article examines the history of crime and media in Cold War era San Diego, and in particular, analyzes how juvenile delinquency was understood and discussed by San Diego media and leaders, which in turn shaped policy and the policing of youth.
