David Orentlicher (Law) will be speaking at a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine workshop on physician-assisted death in Washington, D.C., later this month. He also served on the planning committee for the workshop. Now, two decades after Oregon became the first state to permit physician-assisted death, David and other speakers will explore what we know and what we don't know about the practice of allowing terminally ill patients to receive a prescription for life-ending medication. The workshop is sponsored by the Greenwall Foundation.
