Graduate student Daniel Valdes (Engineering) and advisor Ke-Xun [Kevin] Sun (Electrical and Computer Engineering), recently published a paper in the Review of Scientific Instruments titled, "Gallium oxide (Ga2O3) energy dependent scintillation response to fast neutrons and flash gamma-rays." The material is based upon work supported by the Nuclear Security Science and Technology Consortium (NSSTC) at UNLV and performed, in part, at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE), one of the consortium collaborators.
