Daniel Gerrity (Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction) recently was awarded the College of Engineering Outstanding Researcher Award. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to the college through continual research and his contributions to the field of water quality and the re-use of potable water. In the last five years, he has secured funding from a variety of national and local agencies, including the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, he has published 17 peer-reviewed articles in 10 professional journals where his work has generated more than 1,380 citations. We congratulate him for this recognition and thank him for his dedication to the college’s mission to educate, engage, inspire, and innovate.
