Danica G. Hays (College of Education) discusses in a new publication the five-decade trends in multicultural and social justice counseling competency, identifies gaps and future research directions of that research, and proposes innovative strategies and methods for conducting rigorous multicultural and social justice research. The invited article was part of a special issue of the Journal of Counseling & Development, the flagship journal of the American Counseling Association.
