On January 11th, Christopher D. E. Willoughby (Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies) presented on a panel on "Medical Reparations" at the University of California, Davis' African American Studies Winter Symposium on the theme of "Reimagining Repair." Willoughby's paper was titled "Learning from Human Remains: Medical Schools and the Legacy of Antebellum Racial Skull Collections" and focused on the legacy of racial anatomy and human remains collecting in American medical education.
