Dr. Christina Demopoulos and Melissa Argueta (both Dental) surpassed their 10,000th screening within the Early Childhood Caries Prevention Project (ECCPP). Started in 2017, ECCPP aims to reduce the number of children with cavities by the time they enroll in kindergarten by providing preventive dental services in federally funded Early Head Start and Head Start Centers throughout Nevada. On March 23, the pair screened 42 children and applied 33 fluoride varnish applications at the Acelero Henderson Head Start Center. Each child received an oral hygiene bag with a toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste.
