Chris Cochran (Community Health Sciences) received the Service Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Nevada chapter of ACHE.
ACHE is an international professional society made up of health care executives who lead hospitals, health care systems and other health care organizations. The ACHE recognition program celebrates members' commitment to the health care management profession as well as their leadership and contributions to furthering professional excellence.
Cochran is a professor and chair in the department of health care administration and policy. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles on access to care for underserved populations and safety net resources, including management issues and quality improvement of public and private health care organizations. He is past president of the Nevada Public Health Association and teaches U.S. health care systems, health care policy, epidemiology, and strategic management.
