Ching-Chen Chen (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) served as lead author of the article "Measurement and Functional Invariance of Psychological Individuation Constructs Across Cultures: Initial Evidence From Taiwan and the United States" published in the journal, Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development. The article was written in collaboration with colleagues Chia-Liang Dai (Teaching and Learning), George Richardson (University of Cincinnati), and an international scholar Wei-Wen Chen (University of Macau, China). This study used multi-group structural equation modeling and cross-cultural data from late adolescence/young adulthood to test psychological individuation constructs for measurement as well as functional invariance via associations with mental illness and substance use.
