Ching-Chen Chen (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services), along with colleagues Peitao Zhu (Northern Illinois University), Qiu Wang, Melissa M. Luke, and Yanhong Liu (Syracuse University), published an article titled, “Item Response Theory Analysis and Measurement Invariance Testing of the Cultural Humility and Enactment Scale,” in the journal, Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development. The article shortened and validated the Cultural Humility and Enactment Scale (CHES) by (a) examining its factor structure with multiple samples; (b) employing item response theory analysis to examine its item-level characteristics; (c) reducing potential redundancies among items; and (d) conducting measurement invariance testing.
