Chad Hensley (Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences) is this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award from the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology (ACERT). Presented at the organization’s national conference in early February, this singular recognition for educators is based on several factors including a demonstrated dedication and significant contributions to improving the quality and progress of education in radiologic sciences and his ongoing contributions to the field. ACERT also highlighted that his students excel in their knowledge of radiologic sciences and they appreciate and respect him as a leader.
“Through thoughtful presentations and critical discussions, Chad has elevated the entire profession in understanding appropriate patient care, standards of practice, and radiation safety. Chad practices what he preaches, and he works to advocate for the profession and for excellence,” ACERT noted.
