Carrie Ahlborn, Kerry Sallee, and Alexandra Liebman (Foundation) were lead creators of "Flexible. Personal. Vital.," a campaign for the UNLV annual fund, which was named a 2016 CASE VII Award of Excellence bronze winner in the category "Best Practices in Fundraising: Campaigns." The annual awards competition is presented by District VII of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), which serves five states and two territories in the western region of the United States.
The winning submission included spring 2015 and fall 2015 UNLV annual fund brochures that featured the tag line: Flexible. Personal. Vital. and showcased annual fund donor photographs and testimonials. The entry also included a full-page ad with the same tag line that appeared in the fall 2015 UNLV Magazine. The campaign reinforced the importance of unrestricted gifts to the university and the diversity of donors: alumni, faculty, and staff; students; parents; friends; and corporations.
Other UNLV contributors to the campaign include Marian Alper, Ellen King-McDaniel, Scott Roberts, and Nancy Strouse (all Foundation), R. Marsh Starks (Photo Services), and Aaron Mayes (then Photo Services, now UNLV Libraries), and UNLV annual fund donors who provided their testimonials; as well as Rob Colbrook and his creative team at B+P Advertising, Media and Public Relations.
