Carol Ou (Libraries) was named the University Libraries' 2019 McPhee Librarian of the Year. She was nominated for her leadership, collaborative efforts across the organization, and major contribution to the success of the University Libraries’ migration to the Alma/Primo library services platform. As head of discovery services, her leadership in moving the University Libraries toward adopting the resource description and access standard and her work on the Library of Congress/Name Authority Cooperative authority file help our users discover content and positions the University Libraries’ catalog metadata to be utilized in future linked data projects. Her leadership and work on the migration to Alma/Primo, the University Libraries’ central productivity and discovery tool, ensures that UNLV’s version of this platform is optimally configured and maintained.
