Carlos S. Dimas (History) gave a talk, "Poisoned Eden: The Practice of Governance and Autonomy in the Cholera Epidemic of 1886- 1887 in Northwestern Argentina," at the history department of the University of Melbourne (Australia).
The talk was based on Dimas's recently published book Poisoned Eden: Cholera Epidemics, State-Building, and the Problem of Public Health in Tucumán, Argentina, 1865-1908.
