Candace Burton (Nursing) and co-author Stacy Drake of Bowling Green State University received the 2022 Education Article of the Year award from the Journal of Forensic Nursing, for their paper, "Trauma-informed approaches to medicolegal death investigation: A forensic nursing perspective." The paper explores how forensic nurse death investigators can apply the principles of trauma informed care in practice and considers the implications for this challenging specialty.
