Brett Abarbanel (International Gaming Institute), along with Mark Johnson (University of Alberta), recently published a paper, "Esports Consumer Perspectives on Match Fixing: Implications for Gambling Awareness and Game Integrity,” in International Gambling Studies. The paper examines esports consumers’ awareness of and attitudes towards gambling-related match-fixing as it pertains to competitive video gaming.
