Brenna Renn (Psychology) published a peer-reviewed manuscript detailing policy to expand the behavioral health workforce, "Behavioral Health Workforce Development in Washington State: Addition of a Behavioral Health Support Specialist," in Psychiatric Services alongside co-authors from the University of Washington Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This piece details recent policy in Washington State (signed into legislations in 2023 with SSB 5189) that can serve as a model for similar work in Nevada. Dr. Renn is developing this work in her UNLV TREATment lab.
