Blessing Imade, Abena Gyawu Owusu-Ansah, Asma Awan, and Manoj Sharma (all Social and Behavioral Health) presented a paper titled, "Safety and implication of acupuncture therapy for the treatment of chronic low back pain (cLBP) among adults: A scoping review" at the 2024 Nevada Public Health Association Annual Conference held virtually on April 17, 2024. The presentation highlighted the results explaining the safety of acupuncture to treat CLBP among adults and emphasized that acupuncture is both safe and extremely effective, and would further evaluation in its cost-effectiveness and long-term implications. Imade and Owusu-Ansah are graduate students.
