The Investor Protection Clinic at the William S. Boyd School of Law, which is headed by professor Benjamin P. Edwards (Law), secured what appears to be the nation's first victory for a case asserting a claim under Nevada's first-in-the-nation fiduciary statute.  The Wall Street Journal covered the victory and explained that the win highlights tensions over whether federal laws and regulations do enough to protect investors.
