Austin Horng-En Wang (Political Science) coauthored an article, "Extreme Candidates as the Beneficent Spoiler? Range Effect in the Plurality Voting System," which recently published in Political Research Quarterly. This article provides evidence showing that the entrance of an extreme candidate may impact how voters perceive other moderate candidates in the same election.
