Asma Awan, Miklo Alcala, Priyambda Kumra, (all Social and Behavioral Health) and Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) presented a paper titled, "Navigating the past for a South Asian paradigm of mental health: A chronological literature review," at the Ankara International Congress on Scientific Research-VIII held in Ankara, Turkey, from June 9-11, 2023. Delegates from 19 countries participated in this conference. The presentation gave a chronology on the common mental health conditions prevalent in the South Asian population and highlighted the design and test of evidence-based interventions to fulfill the needs of the SA population. Alcala and Kumra are graduate students.
