Amanda Melilli, Marina Georgieva, Darnelle Melvin, and Leah Howd (all Libraries) presented during the American Library Association Annual Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans. Melilli, head of the Teacher Development and Resources Library was featured on a panel discussing “Building and Justifying Adult Graphic Novel Collections in Public and Academic Libraries.” Georgieva, visiting Digital Collections librarian, was featured on the panel “New and Successful ways to Manage Library IT.” Melvin, Special Collections metadata librarian, was on a panel discussing “Implementing Linked Open Data in the Real World.” Howd, design lab specialist, presented her poster “Applying Creative Commons to the Design Lab at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas: How is a Community of Sharing Created and Maintained?”
