Alexa R. Dorricott, Abigail Dickinson, Allison G. McNickle, Kavita Batra, and colleagues (Carmen E. Flores, Douglas R. Fraser, and Paul J. Chestovich) published a study, "Trauma Laparoscopy: Time Efficient, Cost Effective, and Safe," in the Journal of Surgical Research. In this study, laparoscopy was observed to have shorter operative times and LOS with lower hospital charges and fewer complications.
